International Commerce Centre

We might be standing on top of the world

Or, then again it might be a model of Hong Kong under glass.
You know how we love tall buildings, well here we are in Hong Kong at the International Commerce Center on the 100th floor.

This was in the elevator when we got to the 100th floor.  Above this floor are floors 102-108, the Ritz Carlton, owned by Marriott Corporation. Wikipedia says that the world's highest swimming pool is on the 108th floor.

So if you remember a few weeks ago when we were in Taiwan and went to Taipei 101 well it was 5th tallest when the International Commerce center was built and it was 7th. They have both moved down a notch or two since then.
Google says Burj Khalifa in Dubai is currently the tallest building.
  • Google also said that China will be home to 21 of the world's tallest 50 skyscrapers by 2020.  But then, what do "they" know?  (Ha Ha)

Unfortunately, we didn't have our good camera when we were there but just our phones so the photos aren't the best.

If you click on the photo you can read the facts better.

It's 393 meters or 1,588 feet above sea level.  It is 108 floors with four of the floors below ground.

Click here to see some of The light show from the 100th floor  If you want to see the outside in the daytime, here's a youtube video that shows it International Commerce Center  There are lots of videos on youtube if you want to see more.  We think we'll come up here another day with our better camera and maybe come in the daytime so we'll show you the view another time.  A person almost feels like they're on the Tower of Babel or something. (Ha Ha)

We hope you have a happy naturally "high" day, everybody!
