Ocean Park

Most importantly, we had a wonderful baptism of Sister Ligaya Cerbas on Sunday.  She is pictured on the right and her name in Tagalog means happiness, joy, and delight.

We had a few hours on Saturday to visit Ocean Park which we found to be similar to Sea World and it also had amusement park rides.

We hurried and got in line for the gondolas which took us almost a mile over the hill to another part of the park. You can read about it here: Ocean park cable cars

Here's a little video from the cable car:  looking down from the air

We really enjoyed the jellyfish exhibit, too.
Here's a jelly fish video: Jellyfish
And another: more Jellyfish

Watch out, Elder Chandler!

We enjoyed an outdoor show looking out at the ocean.

See the seals video here: SEALS

How do you like this musical instrument?

So Pretty!  Beauty is so important to be included everywhere in China and Japan.

Watch out he might bite!

The Panda bears just wanted to sleep.

This is a Red Panda bear that blends in pretty good with the surroundings.

We enjoyed the fish in the Aquarium.

These boys were too cute to not take a photo.

He might have been a fortune teller or something.

When it was time to sit down, we decided it might be time to go home!  Have a great weekend everybody!

Hong Kong New Year Fireworks 2017

We had an amazing time watching the fireworks at Victoria Harbor for the Chinese New Year. You can't even imagine how loud or incredible it was.  It was like watching the biggest end of fireworks shows you've ever seen for the entire half hour program.  They were shooting the fireworks simultaneously from five different barges in the harbor.  Our neighbor, Brock, who is a pyromaniac would have loved this.  You can see them on these links:

Do you love a Chinese parade?

Sweet Family, huh?  This is the Chandler Family home evening family. They are all wonderful people and we love our "family" very much.  We get together once a month and Elder Chandler gives us the home teaching message from the Ensign magazine, we have treats, and play games.  We have a great time together!  Here's the message Elder Chandler gave: AIMING AT THE CENTER

We thought you might enjoy seeing the Chinese New Years Night Parade that we went to see, too. It was sponsored by Cathay Pacific Airline.

In case you would like to know, this is Paul MP Chan who was the guest of honor and is the Financial secretary of the government of the the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The crowd who paid for seats were seated right where the performers did all of their acts for us.

There were performers from Hong Kong, Japan, Russia, Germany, Italy, Philippine, Korea, France, Taiwan, Spain, and USA.

How's this for playing a tuba? They kept carrying them on their shoulders and playing them this way.

This cute little girl sat in front of us and watched us a lot of the time so we had to take her photo.  She is the granddaughter of Elder and Sister Yan who are senior missionaries serving here as the Asia Area Public Affairs missionaries.

Below are a bunch of videos we took, too, in case you have any interest in viewing these:

If you have any more interest, here are some links to videos that were a little longer so they were uploaded to you tube:

As always, we hope you continue to have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
